TinyMCE Altnivele

For WordPress version 5.0 and newer the TinyMCE Advanced plugin introduces a “Hybrid Mode” for the new Block Editor (Gutenberg).
It brings the best of both editors together, enhances the Classic Block and adds a new Classic Paragraph Block that replaces the default Paragraph Block.

If you are not quite ready to switch to the Block Editor, or have plugins that cannot be used there (yet), using Hybrid Mode is your best option.
It lets you to continue to use the familiar “Classic” editor inside the Classic Block, and at the same time gives you access to all blocks and new features in the Block Editor.

If you want to continue to use the previous editor in WordPress 5.0 and newer, this plugin has an option to replace the new editor with the previous one. If you prefer to have access to both editors side by side or to allow your users to switch editors, it would be better to install the Classic Editor plugin. TinyMCE Advanced is fully compatible with the Classic Editor plugin and similar plugins that restore use of the previous WordPress editor.

As always this plugin will let you add, remove and arrange the buttons that are shown on the Visual Editor toolbar in the Classic Block in the new Block Editor, and in the Classic Editor (when enabled by a plugin). You can configure up to four rows of buttons including Font Sizes, Font Family, text and background colors, tables, etc. It will also let you enable the editor menu, see the screenshots.

  • Hybrid mode that lets you use the best of both editors.
  • Support for creating and editing tables in the Classic Block or the Classic Editor.
  • More options when inserting lists in the Classic Block or the Classic Editor.
  • Search and Replace in the Classic Block or the Classic Editor.
  • Ability to set Font Family and Font Sizes in the Classic Block or the Classic Editor.
  • Kaj multaj aliaj.

TinyMCE Advanced does not collect or store any user related data. It does not set cookies, and it does not connect to any third-party websites. It only uses functionality that is available in WordPress, and in the TinyMCE editor.

In that terms TinyMCE Advanced does not affect your website’s user privacy in any way.

  • Classic Paragraph Block.
  • The Classic Editor (TinyMCE) toolbars settings.
  • The Classic Block (Block Editor) toolbars settings.
  • Editor options.
  • Advanced plugin options.
  • Administration options.

Wow – now supporting WP5!

I may be shifting to the Block editor sooner now. By turning on the MCE in the Paragraph Block, you bring word processing features back to the new editor making it SOoo much more functional.

Thank you!!

Love this plugin but!

I love this plugin, simple and useful.

Sadly today I updated my Wp and also my theme in use.
Since then it seems like the ‘Stopping html stripping’ ist not working properly.

it f***d up my website

Without even touching it, one day this plugin decided to stop uploading my images, stopped to even add old images I already had in my website to the posts, unexpected errors to the admin area PLUS something about adding extra whitespace.
I’ve spend numerous hours to find the error and that was something the json was calling a mini.css of the tiny! I deactivated and deleted the plugin. Nada, zip, zero. It’s still there – propably in the database or I don’t know where else, because I don’t see it in the plugins- and like the Lazarus still gives errors and I CANNOT work on my website at all. I wish it had minus – 100 stars to vote this plugin. Has happened to me in the past with another website back in 2015 (totally crashed forever) and now 2018 I thought that “the technology and the knowledge has improved, so they will have been improved”. ABSOLUTE NOT. DO NOT download it if you want a healthy running smoothly website.

the future of Gutenberg!

Thank you thank you and thank you again for continuing to develop this plugin, because it is the only escape from the announced death of wordpress if Gutenberg becomes the new standard!

Great free plugin:

two major shortcomings:
1) There should be the possibility to insert and use any Font by uploading there from the PC, directly in Tiny.
2) The option for text size should also be customizable (with sizes like 13 or 27, for example).
